What is EcoGuard Plus?
EcoGuard Plus is an all natural insecticide specially formulated to kill Ticks and Mosquitos on contact and keep them away with long-lasting residual repellency. EcoGuard Plus is an innovative solution to harmful landscape chemical applications.
For centuries, people have been utilizing plant-derived ingredients in order to kill and ward away insect pests. Until recently, there was not enough raw plant material grown in bulk to economically extract natural oils for use in manufactured products. Also, over the last decade, extraction techniques have been improved in order to economically remove pure oils from the harvested plant material.
With these two improvements, Eco Innovations, LLC was able to formulate EcoGuard Plus from the highest grade of pure essential oils and deliver it to the end user at an affordable price. The high purity of the active ingredient oils in EcoGuard Plus make the product very effective at controlling labeled insect pests.

EcoGuard Plus is exempt from federal chemical registration. The federal government established a list of all natural active and inert ingredients that are “generally regarded as safe”. These ingredients are classified under the FIFRA act 25b. These ingredients were set apart from others due to the very low toxicity and the fact that they are all readily biodegradable once applied. With the stringencies and restrictions put upon synthetically derived chemicals, EcoGuard Plus formulation is highly effective now and will continue to be used into the future without restrictions.

How EcoGuard Plus Works:
EcoGuard Plus kills in two ways, (1) by blocking neurotransmitter pathways of susceptible insects and rendering them immobile and (2) by blocking the respiratory system of labeled insects. This dual mode of action, along with the long residual repellency makes EcoGuard Plus a potent contact killer and repellant which kills and keeps insect away. These two modes of action, due to the differences in insect versus mammalian anatomy, are very effective at killing labeled insects, however, are totally harmless to all mammals including humans and pets.
Where to Apply EcoGuard Plus:
Apply EcoGuard Plus to the base of house, over landscape beds and shrubs, through the lawn and to the foliage of trees. Make sure to apply to the undersides of leaves and to the interior foliage of thick or large bushes. EcoGuard Plus will not stain decks, pavers, cement or asphalt. EcoGuard Plus can be applied with various types of equipment including mist blowers, compression sprayers and hose end applicators.
When to Apply EcoGuard Plus:
From Maine to Florida or Texas to California EcoGuard Plus kills on contact and creates a natural barrier to keep insects away. In order to keep an insect free buffer zone around your property all year round, EcoGuard Plus should be used preventatively every 30 days, as directed by label. This schedule ensures the active ingredient in EcoGuard Plus is always present in the lawn and ornamental landscape and working hard to keep ticks, mosquitos and other labeled insects away for good.

EcoGuard Plus is currently available in 8 ounce, 16 ounce, and 64 ounce squeeze and measure bottles. This provides an array of sizes in order to best suit most lawn and landscape application needs.
Depending on your application method, the label gives specific details for rates and timing. One example: The 8 ounce bottle of EcoGuard Plus will treat between 1 and 1.5 acres.(44,000ft2 to 66,000ft2) If your lawn and landscape area is 10,000ft2, the 8 ounce bottle will allow you to treat approximately 4 to 6 times depending on your application method. If the average time between applications is 30 days, your 8 ounce bottle would fight insects for 4 to 6 months!
Although it would be safe to do so, EcoGuard Plus is labeled to be applied to lawn and landscape materials only and is not packaged or dispensed properly to be applied as a personal repellant.
EcoGuard Plus should be applied every 30 days to provide adequate insect control. Durning prolonged dry periods you may see control longer than 30 days. Conversely, during prolonged wet weather and when insect pressure is at its highest you may need to apply EcoGuard Plus more frequently than recommended in order to achieve the best control.
Yes, EcoGuard Plus is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation which can be readily mixed with most other lawn or landscape products. Jar testing is recommended and phototoxicity to plants could occur in some circumstances.
We recommend staying off approximately ½ hour or until the product is dry on the leaf surface to limit tracking of the product. However, EcoGuard Plus is safe directly after application.
Animal versus mammalian anatomy are very different. The two modes of action EcoGuard Plus utilizes, harms the anatomy of the insect in which humans, pets, other mammals, reptiles and amphibians simply do not have. Therefore, EcoGuard Plus kills insects and is 100% safe for humans.

Yes, EcoGuard Plus is non-staining. Simply follow mixing and measuring instructions on the label for ‘spot spray’ applications. Spot spraying works great to repel insets away from the base of your house, sheds and garage.
The squeeze and pour bottle utilizes two different canisters in one. The main compartment holds the bulk liquid and the smaller, upper compartment measures the liquid so there is no need for a measuring device in order to get accurate pours every time. You simply remove the cap from the small compartment and squeeze the bottle until the correctly measured fluid is transferred. You can then pour directly out of the small compartment into your application device. Fast, easy and accurate!
